pancakes!

luke and i had some delicious pancakes at this place called "jakkepoes" this morning. the weather was beautiful and we rode the scooter and motorcycles down there and filled up on yummy deliciousness.

seriously, the food is so good there that i almost forgot to take the picture because i just wanted to eat it so bad!!! i had the banana chocolate pancakes and luke had the berry pancakes with strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. and iced coffee to drink. SO FREAKING GOOD!!!!
and it puts me in this sugary high for the rest of the morning, but it is SO worth it!! :)

literally!!!

the sun finally decided to show itself after school today (it has been raining for about 4 days straight now!) and luke took his hawaiian sling out the the river and decided to try to catch us some fish. well, the first one was a little small, so he went back and got another much bigger one... how cool is that!!

seriously, look at the size of that thing, caught just with the hawaiian sling! when the world is ending, i'm glad i'll have luke and his abundance of skills along with me!!  :)
we think it is some sort of tilapia... hopefully it is delicious.... luke is firing up the BBQ right now! :)

oh, and tonight we got a little lovely sunset... kids playing on the baseball field, waves crashing on the reef, a nice ocean breeze going through the house... it is all so peaceful!
